High: Rome was so impressive – we learned so much at the Colosseum, and then we also enjoyed a food tour through the Centro Storico and Trastavere.

Low: The crowds in Florence were starting to build at the end of March. We still had a wonderful time but it can be daunting!

Surprise: The restaurant right outside our hotel in Rome had a delicious osso bucco and pesto. Amazing how good the quality of the food is.
